Our Story

Formed in 1990 by John Hibberd and Paul Burton initially as a distributor, ICB has evolved into a manufacturer and now trades with all of the UK’s major retailers, is becoming a major player in the on trade and manufactures or distributes over 50 top class brands which span most alcoholic drinks categories.

In 1994 ICB launched its first self-developed brand. Paul and John were to successfully repeat this process many times over the succeeding decade or so, to become serial innovators with an enviable track record of serving up colourful, fun and distinctively different drinks that responded to trade and consumer feedback and closely reflected the mood of the times.

As Paul comments: “Success in this market depends on creating new products and experiences for a stylish and fashion-conscious audience of young adult opinion leaders who are continually seeking refreshingly funky taste experiences. In satisfying this demand we like to be first and to innovate.

Our early entry into the pear cider market is a case in point and we made sure we were quick to follow early success with some totally original NPD of which St Helier Blueberry flavoured, and Peach flavoured Pear Cider are just two examples. There have been other “firsts” like the launch of Vodkat, which was followed by the launch of Vodkat Smoothies, the first ever alcoholic smoothies. Now there’s Zamaretto which is on song for major success. And you may be sure there’s more to come.”

Zamaretto

Liqueurs are enjoying a renaissance with a new generation of young adults who are seeking something new, sophisticated and glamorous to enjoy with friends. Quick to recognise this emerging trend, ICB launched Zamaretto, a range of eight flavoured amaretto liqueurs aimed at young adults who love to party and are looking for a drink that makes any occasion special. The eight rainbow flavours of Zamaretto (Blue Raspberry, Banana, Cherry, Apple, Pear, Peach, Chocolate and Original) can be enjoyed straight or with ice and even the most novice of mixologists can turn Zamaretto into a long drink by mixing with juice, or a sparkling mixer. Rich, sweet, smooth and almondy, Zamaretto is presented in imposing square 70 cl and 50cl bottles.
