HANWELL TOWN | WAIGHT A MINUTE

Premier South club finding form

Hanwell Town made it three wins in a row at the weekend as they start to find some form.

Their latest success saw them come home from Dorchester Town 4-1 victors following an impressive display.

“It was a great win,” said Joe Waight. “The first half was one of the best performances I’ve been involved in. It seemed like we were all working so well as a unit, and all of us wanted to work for each other.

“I was happy with my own performance; I didn’t get on the scoresheet, but I felt like I was doing my bit for the team with my runs and hold-up play.

“Obviously, we’re not where we want to be in the table, but we’re on a good run of form now and we’ve got an incredible group here who are pushing each other all of the way.

“It’s about pushing on now and build the momentum, then we’ll see where we end up.

“This has always been a tough League but I feel that it has been even tougher this season. The teams that came up from Step 4 and have done well, so that’s made for a strong competition this time around.

“We’re moving in the right direction, but we’re by no means out of it yet. There is plenty of football to be played and there will be plenty of twists and turns along the way.

“Things are still so tight and it would be great to move into the middle of the table and away from danger.

“From my own point of view, I want to keep enjoying my football and add a few goals as we go along.

A home clash with Sholing is on the agenda at the weekend.
