Kaid Mohamed
Pitching In Southern Football League Premier Division South club Salisbury have added experience and youth to their squad.
The experience comes in the shape of 36-year-old forward Kaid Mohamed, who joins the Whites from Cymru South side Afan Lido.
Mohamed spent the early part of his career in Welsh football with Ely Rangers, Cwmbrân Town, Llanelli and Carmarthen Town.
He really came to prominence in the 2006/07 season, scoring 2 goals for Carmarthen in their Welsh Cup final victory.
He left Carmarthen to go and play in the Football League after he was handed a professional contract by Swindon Town in June 2007.
From Swindon he was loaned out to Torquay United, before dropping into the Conference Premier on a permanent basis with Forest Green Rovers.
After losing his first-team place at Rovers, he was loaned out to Newport County, before dropping into the Conference South with Bath City.
He helped Bath to win promotion at the end of the 2009/10 season, scoring the only goal of the play-off final.
He left Bath for AFC Wimbledon in March 2011 and played for the Dons in their Conference Promotion Final victory.
He signed with Cheltenham Town in June 2011 and played in two unsuccessful League Two play-off campaigns before transferring to Port Vale in June 2013.
He was loaned back to Wimbledon in November 2013, and then loaned to Bristol Rovers in January 2014.
He joined Northampton Town on loan for the 2014/15 season and after a brief spell with Port Talbot Town, he re-joined Bath via Accrington Stanley in October 2015.
He signed for Eastleigh in January 2016, before being loaned out to Tamworth two months later.
Later in the year, he moved on to Weston-super-Mare via Kettering Town.
He joined Wealdstone in August 2017, before moving to Chippenham Town via another stint with Bath in February 2018.
He returned to the Welsh leagues with Haverfordwest County in December 2018 and moved to Afan Lido via Goytre AFC in 2019.
At the other end of the age scale, manager Steve Claridge has handed youngster Alfie Hawke a first team chance.
Hawke has progressed through the youth set up and is now playing for the reserves having captained both sides.
And 17-year-old winger Vaughn Covil joins the Whites on loan from League Two side Forest Green Rovers, with whom he signed a two–year professional contract in the summer of 2019.
He made his senior debut at the age of 16 in the Leasing.com Trophy match at Coventry City in October 2019, having joined Forest Green’s academy at the start of the 2019/20 season following five years in the famed Southampton academy.
